Role overview
Responsibilities
- Process factory labor and payroll for two locations, ensuring accurate timekeeping, attendance, and labor reporting.
- Maintain day-to-day labor and attendance records, including tracking absences, tardiness, and time-off documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized employee personnel files, including employment documents, personal information, performance reviews, and leave/time-off records.
- Assist employees by answering general questions regarding benefits plans, enrollment, and HR-related policies.
- Support compliance with employment laws and company policies by ensuring employee records are current and required documentation is properly completed and filed.
- Address basic employee concerns and help facilitate communication between employees and HR leadership.
- Assist with HR programs and events such as benefits enrollment, company-wide meetings, employee recognition activities, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and company information.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support HR operations and business needs.
Requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- 2-3 Years of HR Experience required, manufacturing industry preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Basic understanding of HR principles, payroll processes, and employment laws.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and ability to visit other plants as needed.
